Hey Sweet Girls!
One of my favorite Bible verses is Proverbs 31:25: "She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future." I think this verse says a lot about the way girls need to live their lives. Wrapping ourselves in God's embrace and putting our trust in Him for the future, gives us the power to live a life of joy and happiness.
I want you guys to read this blog post and see what Lysa TerKeurst has to say about this verse and what it means to her.
It is so important to remember that when you feel like you have got it all wrong and you feel like you can't do anything right anymore, that you are absolutely not alone. Everyone has those days where they feel like nothings going right and they have no idea what they are doing. Some people have more than one of those days in a row. And that's okay!
The moral of this post is to make sure you guys know that no matter what you might be going through or how you might be feeling, you should never forget to keep smiling at the future and laughing without fear!
Until next time,
Molly

Laughter is Key
Hey Sweet Girls!
It's been said that laughter is the best medicine. In my opinion, a good, hearty laugh with friends can cure any bad day or any amount of overwhelming stress. Laughter can also cure any embarrassment, if you allow yourself to use it.
Let's be honest, everybody gets embarrassed. I, of all people, can wholeheartedly attest to that. You guys might not know this about me, but I am actually the poster child for embarrassment. I specialize in face planting in front of large crowds and also frequent tripping up stairs- but that's just the half of it. If you can think of something embarrassing, there is a 99.9% chance that I have done it (and probably more than once).
So now that you know how embarrassing I am as an individual, we can move on to my main point for this blog post. I am a strong activist for embracing your embarrassing moments and laughing it off. Yes, feeling embarrassed stinks. I totally get feeling, in that horrifying moment, like your life is over and you will never get over it. But I can assure you that you will get over it.
Think about it- five years from now, are you going to remember that one time you fell up the steps walking to Spanish? Or the time your chair rolled out from under you in English? Or the time you tripped over your own two feet and face planted in front of everyone on campus? Probably not. In fact, I'll admit that those are all real life experiences. Those all probably happened within the last month or so and I've already gotten over them. The truth of the matter is that I guarantee you aren't going to remember tripping, slipping, falling or saying something silly five years from now. The even bigger truth is that the people who saw it, who you felt so embarrassed by, aren't going to remember it either. Do you remember every person you ever saw do something embarrassing? So why would it be any different when you're on the receiving end?
Since no one's going to remember it anyway, why not just join in on the laughter? Showing that you are capable of laughing off your mistakes and laughing at yourself says a lot about you. It says that you are comfortable with yourself and that you aren't fazed by what others think of you. For girls of your age, that is honestly one of the biggest pieces of advice I can give you.
If you ask me, laughter is the key to happiness. So try it sometime!

Self-Image
Hey Sweet Girls!
Alright, it's time to get serious. You girls are at a time in your life where media, peers, school and other outlets of society are huge. You are constantly being bombarded by advertisements with pictures, videos and slogans telling you what you should look like, how you should act and who you should be. And I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you this, but there's really no escaping it. The media- and all of the negative energy it consists of- is always going to be a constant in your life. The good thing is that, even though it's always going to be there, you don't have to let it effect you! That's why I wanted to dedicate my first "real" post on this blog to something big... your self-image. So let me start out by asking this:
How do you view yourself?
Now, be honest when you answer this question. Maybe you think you're wonderful (Which is fantastic if you do... because you are wonderful!). But it may be true that one of those dreadful forms of social media has gotten the better of you. I sincerely hope that you have somehow managed to avoid all of the lies that society tries to tell you, however, I know that that might be wishful thinking on my part. I mean, I certainly still fall victim to the media's jabs sometimes. It really can, and does, happen to all of us.
I want you guys to take a second and watch this video:
Please don't ever be ashamed of who you are because you are a wonderful human being and a beautiful creation of God. If you get anything from this entire blog, let it be this... Be yourself, be the best "you" you can be- and love who that person is.
It doesn't matter if you fit into society's definition of "perfect" or "beautiful". You are you and there isn't a single other person like you- and that is perfect.
Keep on doing you and never forget just how awesome you are!
Until next time,
Molly
